Once Upon a Time...

This is a story of a girl named Eowyn and her sister Terra. Two completely fictional people made up for the purpose of this story. Or the story was made of for the purpose of them. Either way, any resemblance these two girls bear towards any individuals you might know is mere coincidence.

Eowyn is a girl who loves to Scribble, and Terra is her twin sister - who also likes to Scribble. One day Eowyn was on a website, and a friend of hers who was very near and dear announced that she had created - gasp - a blog! With much squeeage and grinning, Eowyn pulled up her internet browser and buried herself in this newly created section of what is known as the Internet.

And, behold, there was the blog - with one of the shiniest templates she had ever seen. The template awed her. Quickly after commenting she dispersed and visited the blogs of other friends near and dear to her, all of which had the Shiny Templates she was very much beginning to adore.

Then it struck her. What if she were to have a blog? Then she would be able to have a Shiny Template - all for her own! She mused and giggled over the idea. However, reality was crouching close by. She did not have time for a blog, it whispered in a Kill-Joy like fashion.

She went to her sister Terra and told her of her woeful tale. But Terra was much more insightful then her sister, and she made a brilliant suggestion that rekindled Eowyn’s hopes.

They could share a blog! And a Shiny Template!

Alright. So maybe any resemblance Eowyn and Terra bear towards People You Might Know is not entirely coincidence.

That is, in essence, as silly as it sounds, how this blog began. But it was not created entirely for the purpose of having a Shiny Template - though that was a contributing factor. I, Eowyn, am a writer, and so is my sister Terra. We share many interests, a love of music, the written word, reading, but we also have many differences.

This a blog looking at the world through our eyes. As writing is our first passion, many of the post hereafter will be about that, but there will be other Scribblings as well. That is why we chose the name “The Mirror Mazes” - this world is a collection of mazes, and these are our reflections as we travel through  them, trying to find our way.

We may make a few wrong turns or hit a few dead ends. And I hope that we will make several right ones as well. But with Christ as our guide and His word as our map, we will never be truly lost.
